Trish Meyer
Miss Trish started her dance training at the age of 6 with Bobbie Hall and continued to perform and compete with many well known dance companies in the Huntsville area including Performing Dance Arts where she danced with Miss Carol. Throughout her youth Trish had extensive training in tap, jazz, ballet, modern, hip hop, lyrical and theatre and has made use of her hard work performing and winning countless awards and titles at Dance Masters of America, Dance Educators of America, Showstoppers, Panoply of the Arts, Big Spring Jam and numerous pageants. At age 17 she began teaching and choreographing and became a certified teacher through Dance Masters of America. She then continued to travel to Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas and Atlanta to extend her knowledge of dance. She worked with notable choreographers including Gus Giordano, Joe Tremaine, Doug Caldwell, Jackie Sleight, Frank Hatchett, Margueritte Derricks and countless others.
In 1993 Trish married and has since had 3 beautiful children and choosing to stay home with them, took a break from teaching. She is now employed by Huntsville City Schools as a substitute teacher and is serving on the PTA Executive Boards at both Mountain Gap Elementary School and Mountain Gap Middle School. And now, thanks to Miss Carol and her youngest daughter who recently entered the dance world, she is back in the classroom and anxious to get started. "My favorite thing has always been seeing the smile on a child's face when they discover the love of dance."
